About:
Seed Goons are an amphibious like creature, which are born from seeds. These creatures tend to live underwater for the most part, however, it isn't rare to see them on land camoflaging with their surroundings. When they're on land, while capable of standing and walking (similar to tortoises), they cant really run if a predator approaches, so most of the time, they slither on their bellies at very high speeds and due to their noodley appearance, they're very agile at turning quickly! They feed on small animals like fish, frogs, but can take some bigger animals like birds with the hat trap!
Appearance:
- long slim body (noodle) (body texture like a salamander) with a long tail, round head with round eyes, flat fin like square feet that got a base and not actually entirely flat, mouth is like that of a basking shark when they're eating underwater - they breathe through the skin through pores that hold in oxygen - they do come to the surface sometimes
- From head to the end of the body, the length of Seed Goons ranges from 15-20cm (depending on the body's length), however the tail can vary in sizes!
-Their hats can also be used as traps or bait to lure their prey in and some animals can have a symbiosis with the Goon and become their hat, however this is a super rare occasion that it occurs!
The look of the ears, antennas and tail may vary, including many other body alterations
Age cycle:
- Seed: The seed, in which the Goon hatches from
- Newborn: the body is not fully developed and has tiny soft back legs and squishy arms, eyes closed and lacks of mouth, body having a base color with tiny spots - it is very vulnerable at this time and will stay hidden in the undergrowth while they are developing
- Kid: the body starts to take form, antennas thickening while they are growing and strengthening with keratin for supporting their hats, the legs develop and grow out more and tail developing and bending to something more aquatic, eyes are still closed and unable to see - relying on their sense of smell to aid them around their surroundings, but the mouth has now developed and more visible, despite lack of sight, it uses its heightened sense of smell to explore its habitat, catching small fish that wanders too close
- Teen: body now has fully developed the plates on its feet, antennas have now grown slim by the base of the head, ears and tail growing out more and they can see for the first time after their eyes have opened and the markings have developed much more; this the age where it also starts to find a homeplace and a hat, that can be anything that floats and that's anything bigger than the head - land dwellers often are much stronger and can find hats made out of long slate like stones, leaves and even rubbish.
- Adult: the body is fully developed, the markings are fully prominent and settled, the ears and tail have finally developed to their full length and their antenna have thinned at the base to enable quick escapes from their hats if needs be, at this age they do what they want to, they now have attached themselves to a hat that they'll keep for a lifetime - when they discard their hat when under threat, they will return eventually to pick it up - this is when they are at their most vulnerable
